Old Testament

As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:12
           a. The distance is so infinitely far apart that we can never meet them again. Far, far away.

    2.   I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake, And I will not remember your sins.  Isaiah 43:12
           a. Wipe out. Removal.
           b. God wills to forget. Selective and collective forgetfulness by the Supreme One.

3.    He will again have compassion on us; he will tread our iniquities underfoot. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.   Micah 7:19
         a.  To cast is a fishing term. God chooses to cast and not reel in.
b.Where does he cast? In the deepest part of the sea.
         c. Corrie Ten Boom used to say that He casts our sins in the depths of the sea and puts up
a sign that says, “No fishing.”

New Testament

1 Peter 1:18-19, knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
A ransom was paid for our freedom. We were once slaves to sin, but now we are free. When a person of servitude was freed by a price, they were called a freedman. I’m reminded of John 8:26 which says, Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.
Conclusion - A lesser known stanza in the hymn, Jesus Paid It All, is the last stanza. Listen to the words -

Oh, praise the one who paid my debt

And raises life up from the dead

Oh, praise the one who paid my debt

And raises life up from the dead

Oh, praise the one who paid my debt

And raises life up from the dead
